Women’s Shelter Intake Staff (Relief)
FOH is seeking to fill an Intake Staff position. If you enjoy meaningful work, are caring, and have the ability to function well in a fast paced human service environment, we may be interested in inviting you to join our team.
The Intake staff provides services to program participants by completing client intake assessments, annuals reviews and resource pages, conducting periodic progress reports, keeping notes, filing reports, performing shelter assessments for walk in, or call in guest regarding shelter access. Duties also include basic computer work such as adding client’s demographic information to electronic systems like ETO, assigning HMIS numbers as required by the state of Massachusetts, bed registry, and writing incident reports when they are necessary. The Intake Staff is a part of the agency service team, providing a safe haven for shelter guest to address barriers to self-sufficiency. The Intake Staff may also perform other duties deemed acceptable by the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS: Education /Experience: High School Diploma/GED and preferably six months to one year experience working in the human service field. Knowledge of low-income population, chemical dependency, mental health programs. Ability to use computer software applications and general office equipment; Bi-lingual skills desirable.
