Guidelines Listed to Help Homeless

SPRINGFIELD - In these times of economic uncertainty it is important that each donation made to a charitable agency be one that will be put to the best use possible, which has prompted one organization to establish giving guidelines.

Kathy Tobin, development director for Friends of the Homeless, said the guidelines have been developed for those who want their donations to have the greatest impact on a population that has the greatest need in a time when the aftershocks of the economic downturn are being felt by all.
