Speaker advocates for homeless

SPRINGFIELD - More than 100 people gathered Wednesday night at Old First Church to give thanks on Thanksgiving Eve for freedom of speech and religion.

The ecumenical service was sponsored at Old First Church, the historic building which has been turned over to the city of Springfield for safekeeping, by the Council of Churches of Greater Springfield.
