Kathy Tobin leaving abc40 to become development director for Friends of the Homeless in Springfield

Kathy Tobin, a fixture in Western Massachusetts television for nearly three decades, is leaving broadcasting to become director of development for the Friends of the Homeless.

Tobin, 49, an anchorwoman for abc40 News and FOX6, will do her final broadcast Aug. 14. She will begin her new job 10 days later.
