The TD Charitable Foundation has awarded a $10,000 grant to Friends of the Homeless, Inc. The generous donation will help Friends of the Homeless continue its work with adult individuals who are homeless in the Greater Springfield community. FOH goes beyond offering emergency shelter. Its mission is to provide services that help people access permanent housing.
“The TD Charitable Foundation grant is very important to sustaining our shelter and housing program in Springfield, “ according to Bill Miller, Executive Director of Friends of the Homeless, Inc. “FOH is a small, non-profit agency in a community with huge need. We strive to provide dignified care and long-term solutions for people who are desperate. Whatever causes people to be homeless, FOH is here to offer help and hope.”
The TD Charitable Foundation is the charitable arm of TD Bank. In awarding the grant to FOH, TD Bank Massachusetts Central and Western Market President Robert A. Kolb stated, “We believe that organizations such as yours play a significant role in sustaining vibrant and thriving communities.”
Friends of the Homeless is grateful to the TD Charitable Foundation for its support of our work. The mission of FOH is focused on making the greater Springfield community a better place for all of its residents. We look forward to opening the new FOH resource center in early fall to better serve our clients, residents and the community.
